dilemma aka stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea

Hi!
Me again.
Sorry I abandoned this task for quite a long time but I had a lot to do. Stupid tests and now two more papers to go. One is due tomorrow and the other one by the end of March. Phew, then I'm free just in time for San Diego :) Yeehah!

What I plan to do in California:
- San Francisco
- Vegas
- maybe Los Angeles (only Hollywood and Beverly Hills-> one day is enough :) )
- Downtown San Diego
- shoppin (what else?!?! )

I can't believe it's March again. Damn time does fly really fast. It's been like 3 months since my birthday and it feels like it only has been 2 weeks. Tomorrow I start my new job, I'm kind of excited. I'll have to update the homepage, translate, post job openings, get thinks from the stock, pack packages etc etc. Girl for everything:) But I have to get this dang paper done. 5 more pages to go....I hope I make it in 2 hours. I don't think it'll be a night shift for me.

Getting back to my title:
I'm stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea.
Some time ago I enrolled for a year abroad in Barcelona. I didn't put much effort in it because I really didn't think that I would do it. I actually just did it to calm my conscience. I didn't want to have a guilty conscience because I did not enrol for such a good opportunity. Well now, I got accepted and could literally leave in August for Barcelona for one year.
I do not know what to do.
On the one hand, it is an unique opportunity whilst studying to go abroad. I good improve my Spanish skills and after one year I would probably be fluent in Spanish. It would also be good to leave my everyday life behind for one year and experience something new in a foreign town.
On the other hand, it costs a lot of money. I would have to pay an apartment or dorm and food etc. And now, when my life has become more positive, it would be painful to leave it all behind for one year. And I would have to study for one year longer because I'm away for one whole year.
OMG I totally don't know what to do.
I have about 2 weeks time to think about it and to give my final decision.
What shall I do??????????

Oh yeah, HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHEENA!

Bye,
xoxo

One more to go...

Hi guys,
me again. I know I haven't written lately but I had a lot of studying to do. Well, at least I pretended:) On Tuesday I had one super shitty exam. Technically it was easy, but I hate exams where you have to learn facts by heart and this one was one of these guys. "A Cultural History of the 18th Century" BUMMER. IHEW! I really hate history.
I really flunked, man. I need a miracle for it to be passed :S
Oh well, I might as well have to do it again.
LOL, I got back two exams. A- in Translation LOL And a B in Journalism and the funny thing is, I didn't even consider studying translation and journalism I studied half an hour before the exam on my way to university while sitting on the train LOL LOL LOL My fellow students got an A and are totally smug about it. (They always want to be better than me these nerds LOL ) But the ridiculous thing about it is, that these people have studied about a week before by learning everything by heart. So, who had maximal benefit?? i did cuz I hardly invested time in this dang thing. Had other things to care about....
These other guys flunked the history test too, but they have studied over 2 weeks earlier....Damn for them. I would deserve failing because I didn't put any effort in it...haha
And then today, 2 dang exams.
The first one was Business English for which I didn't have the motivation to study for. I just look at it once at lunch. My friends-totally nerdy- summarized everything and learned everything be heart. I did not even keep what I read. That test was so totally easy no second of studying was worth it. That thing is passed baby! It doesn't have to be an A though.
The second test today was the one I was most scared of. It was Semantics. Theoretically easy but a whole lot to study. I couldn't put myself together though and studied last minute (how could it possibly be different?!?!) MY fellow students have been making themselves crazy about it for like 4 effin weeks. Anyway, I just looked at it before the exam and was kind of scared I was going to fail. But it was easy, I pokered well. I had a suspicion of which questions would be asked and I was right.Didn't study one little bit too much. I've been doing this like for the last two semesters and went in to the exam without any clue. And both times I was the only student of the whole class (~100 students) to write a straight A muhahahaha. Even my professors told me in person and congratualted me. I have never expected this, I was glad just to pass the damn thing with a D!!! This exam today could be one of those although I'm sure that it won't be a straight A. Who cares anyway, the only thing that counts is, if it's passed or not. The only courses where the grades count are the graduate courses and I have till next semester....so bummer these stupid coincidences don't count :( They could be relevant for a scholarship but I'm not entitled to one anyway. So why study??!???!

Dang, I probably should become a PhD in Linguistics...and don't study and write straight As....that is so weird.

Anyway, one more exam to go. I won't even bother studying. I'll just do that tomorrow on the train.

Last Friday I had this so cool interview at this cool firm. I could definitely imagine working there-even after I graduate. I hope they accept me for this student job.

Another post tomorrow guys,
till then, stay tuned.

I have a motivation problem until I have a time problem

Sheesh, what a day.
First I had to stay up until like 2am to finish the dang story for my journalism course. At least I got that done. Tomorrow exam and I so totally don't feel like studying. Actually I hate studying.
Then I had this interview this morning at the real estate firm downtown. I sounded good and I think they're very interested. I have computer know-how and I am flexible.
They couldn't tell me anything because the boss who hires is unfortunately sick.
Then I had university with an exam :( I hardly studied cuz I had to finish the dang story but I think it went quite well...but we'll see!
As I came home I went checking my emails and I got invited to another job interview. This time it was the Office for Economy of our federal state....yeehah!
I have to go there on Friday.I wonder what I will have to do there if I get accepted.
The days before were unspectacular. Just had a game and had to referee.
6 more exams until holiday, yay! And then its just like 6 weeks or so to CALIFORNIA!!
I just can't wait....
The course curriculum is out for literature and there's this cool Cultural Studies course:
City and Culture: American Dichotomies-New York and Los Angeles
and the way coolest thing about it: WITH EXCURSION but only for 10 students. Would be so cool if I was one of these 10....:)

What will I do on my holiday?
I hope I'll earn some money, so I can go
SHOPPING SHOPPING SHOPPING!
I wanna go to Frisco and Vegas.
One day LA would be sweet too.
Anything else one can do???

Stay tuned guys,
Sanchia

Jobless

Hi guys,
no not gossip girl, me again :)
Today was it, it was my last day of work :( I was there for like 4 hours without doing anything. I cleaned up my computer and my desk. I stole some pens and folders etc.... If I hadn't it would just have been thrown away. Realizing never going back there again is kinda sad. That's why I decided to go back there on Monday, cuz probably there I'll be over and done with the issue. (I hope so...)
At 1 I had to run off to go to university. I wrote this entrance exam for ERASMUS which is our exchange program for partner universities within Europe. I already enroled for Barcelona but this test today was for Wales, England or Finland. Due to financial issues, I really do not feel like it anymore to go abroad. Why struggle???
I'll still have my chances to go abroad some time. Now, I can finish studying and then leave for abroad. I know though if I hadn't written this test today I would regret it until I die. So I decided to write....if it was unsuccessful,Oh well at least I tried....
But I kinda have more chances because my professor is like a friend (It's that guy I met on Fifth Avenue in NYC). But you'll never know.
Dang I don't know what to wear for my interview on Tuesday...how will I style my hair??? Probably I'll just go as usual-improvisation LOL
I really have to go such a make over thingy....I feel like walking around like a bum the whole day...but wait: I AM A BUM! I totally forgot.
After the exam I had handball with the kids and then I went to a handball meeting.
If I only could I would make sports my profession....It's so totally fun and working in the sports field makes a damn lot of money!
Talking about gossip girl, I'll go continue watching. I really am addicted right now (thank you internet!)

Stay posted,

What a day

Hey guys,
I just realized I feel like this voice in gossip girl :D
Today was a freaking long one.
I woke up at like 6.30am and went to work.I brought some of my mom's pancit and a few siopao plus two bottles of champagne. Damn lot to carry!
Tomorrow is my last day of work :( I brought the stuff today cuz tomorrow the most of the people won't be in the office cuz it's Friday. Then I went off to university to get my presentation over and done with, then I met with the parents and we went to IKEA because of Laurence and then went to Laurence's dorm and wasted the rest of the evening there.
Anyway I had this talk with my boss, it was just like how he estimates my work and I will get some kind of certificate I can enclose with my CV. Worked out pretty well. I just have to get a bit more active but I'm still at the beginning of my career ladder.
After that we had lunch together and then my boss and my colleagues said so nice stuff about me that I couldn't hold back my emotions. I started to cry (but only a bit). The fact that I'm jobless in less than 24 hours makes me really sad.
I don't know if I should be sad or happy.
On the one hand I am totally sad because I liked work there eventhough I was just sitting around doing homework and stuff for a great lot of money. Furthermore, I had a good relationship to my colleagues. I was good money for basically nothing.
On the other hand I should be glad that I can concentrate on studying now. In the last few weeks I didn't give a damn about studying. I went were I had to if not I stayed at home....but I have to pay the whole shit for myself. Life is so unfair. I work my ass off just to pay tuition and books etc. Others just get the money stuffed into their ass by their parents and they have their own apartment and car and then they complain about studying!! WHAT THE HELL?
I have a hard life compared to them. They don't have to worry about anything, one call home is enough and the bank account is in the black again.
I have to struggle every six months to pay for tuition.I also have to pay other stuff: my cell phone, workout, insurance, holiday...basically everything. I never complain about studying....I know it is tough and it freaks me out once in a while. I also know that I don't have any chances in the future of getting a decent job but oh well,at least it's fun. I have to go to fucking work and never complain about too much work and stuff. Hey these other people have so much time to study...I just can't understand!
They want me to explain them linguistics...Am I the fucking dictionary? And then they complain why I don't have time...HELLO???? is it my problem???

Well anyway, I'm kinda scared that I'll be totally bored next week(I know I should study, but I don't).But please pray for me and keep the fingers crossed: I have an interview on Tuesday at this real estate place....sounded really good and the manager was kind of interested in me. Hope everything just goes well that I'll have money for holiday!!!

I totally forgot to freak out about my brother....(I'll just do that tomorrow)
That's a wrap....
Stay tuned folks!

Studying sux

Hey guys,

so my cousin recommended me to do this blogging. I think it's a good idea, cuz I like reading theirs but will I be disciplined enough to keep on writing??
I hope so:)
Well I'm here at home, just showered and I'm chatting with my friend because we have this discussion paper to do. Tomorrow we have to present it :( It's about Reality TV and Social Perversion. Today I had this presentation in Business English where I talked about an exhibition here in Stuttgart. As my teacher won't grade it but we need to do it to get a certificate, I just got it over and done with.
In two weeks we have our exams...and thinking about all the studying:OMG! I so totally can't see myself studying. And then after that 2 papers will be waiting for me YAY!

YAY, two more months till I go to San Diego once again. Holiday just can't come any faster.I NEED IT NOW! After all what has happened...First: I need money, but as I am jobless now, that will be a little problem...:( 2. Back pain due to the accident. But hooray, we bought a new car which will be done in two weeks.... I still can't believe though that my mom seriously is accusing me of doing this horrible accident deliberately...WTF???? Who the tell participates in car accidents deliberately??? That is the most absurd thing I have heard in my life. 3. STUDYING (see above)

Well, that's a wrap for today. G2g, still prepare (mentally) for this dang discussion tomorrow.
Maybe I will post a longer one tomorrow...

Until then:
"Phone in, stay tuned, consume." (LOL,damn I surely need a break from this stupid paper)
